Who are we?
Heiwa IT is an IT consulting firm specializing in Agility, DevOps, and software development Best Practices (Clean Code, TDD, BDD, DDD).
Founded by Dan Magier in May 2017, Heiwa IT is directly aligned with the Software Craftsmanship movement, which values developer skills and development best practices, often overlooked by other methodologies.
Beyond its artisanal approach to software development, Heiwa IT also stands out through its philosophy based on knowledge sharing, and through the expertise and experience of its founder.

Sharing is also one of the core tenets of Heiwa IT. We believe that knowledge transfer leads to productive partnerships and enriching collaborations, while building an ever more professional community.
Founder and CTO of Heiwa IT, Dan Magier is an Agilist and Java Tech Lead. He worked for over 10 years as a developer for IT consulting firms and software companies. He also managed numerous teams (from 2 to 6 developers). In parallel, Dan co-founded a family business specializing in online leather goods sales.
These varied experiences allowed him to step back from certain prevailing practices (counterproductive management techniques, code duplication, communication issues between client and executor...) pushing him towards other software development approaches: Agility and the Software Craftsmanship movement.
Today, Dan carries the values of software craftsmanship through Heiwa IT, a software development consulting firm.
